Blog vs. Wikis

One of the major difference between Blog and Wiki is that Blog grants only access to the author, whereas Wikis is more collaborative that others can also add on comments. Compare to Wiki, Blog offers a narrow area of editing. Blog is a place where people can share their journals and others can share their opinions, mostly for individual blogger use. However, Wiki contains a bigger picture like a gigantic knowledge base that everyone has the right to share their opinion.

Even though Blog doesn't function as much collaborative as Wiki does, it still offers the a way to achieve this goal. The comment function is a great way to resolve this problem. Although readers can't change anything that authors posted on their blog, readers can leave their comments for authors to see. As long as there's a bridge for communication, Blog can be identify as a collaborative tool.

Wiki, in another hand, has already contains great function that enable everyone to share and edit the page. However, it does not mean that sharing with everyone is a great option. There might be some confusing or misleading informations that people posted for others to see. Thus, Wiki could think about adding a function that filters these misleading knowledges.
